Can Your Puncture Be Repaired?
Not every puncture can be legally or safely repaired and we’ll always tell you straight, rather than selling you a tyre you don’t need.
Usually repairable:
- A nail or screw in the central tread area
- A small, clean puncture within the repairable zone
- A tyre with plenty of tread left and no structural damage
Not repairable replacement needed:
- Damage to the sidewall or shoulder of the tyre
- Splits, bulges or cuts in the rubber
- A tyre that's been driven on while flat
- A tyre with a previous repair too close to the new damage
UK tyre repairs must meet the recognised British Standard for tyre repair, which sets out exactly where and how a tyre may be repaired. Our technicians work to that standard if a repair wouldn’t be safe or legal, we’ll explain why and fit a replacement instead.

Can you repair my puncture, or will I need a new tyre?
Wherever the damage is safely and legally repairable typically a nail or screw in the central tread area we’ll repair it. Sidewall damage, splits, bulges or a tyre driven on while flat can’t be repaired safely, and we’ll fit a replacement instead.
Are you available at night and on weekends?
Yes. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays.
Can I drive on a flat tyre to get somewhere safer?
Only far enough to get out of danger, and as slowly as possible. Driving any distance on a deflated tyre destroys the sidewall and can damage the wheel, turning a repairable puncture into a full replacement.
What if I don't have a spare wheel?
That’s fine most of our callouts are for vehicles with no usable spare. We repair the damaged tyre or fit a replacement on the spot.
What if my tyre can't be fixed at the roadside?
Because we’re a full recovery company, we can tow your vehicle to a garage of your choice or our own workshop you’re never left stranded.
Do you repair run-flat tyres?
Run-flats can only be repaired in limited circumstances and many manufacturers advise against it. Our technicians will inspect yours and advise honestly on whether repair or replacement is the safe option.
